You've done so much work.

Why does life still
feel so hard?

Therapy for BIPOC adults and couples
healing from childhood sexual abuse.

Online across California

Welcome. I’m Yanée

I believe healing happens when we no longer have to carry our experiences alone.

As a survivor, I know that it is possible to build a fulfilling life and meaningful relationships after trauma.

I am a Black, Indigenous, Afro-Latina, Caribbean-born queer therapist. I believe we heal best when our cultures, identities, and experiences of oppression are honored as sources of wisdom, resilience, and connection.

My own spiritual practice shapes how I understand healing and the wisdom we carry. Clients who wish to explore spirituality in their therapy are welcome to do so.

Who I Work With

The people I work with are often some of the most thoughtful, caring, and courageous people I know.

They've built meaningful lives, not because life has been easy, but because they've continued to show up with depth, integrity, and hope, even while carrying experiences that no one should have had to carry.

You may be in the right place if…

  • You've done years of personal work, yet life still feels harder than it should.

  • You care deeply about your community, your relationships, and the life you lead. But you rarely feel able to rest.

  • Others know you as capable and dependable, while inside, you're carrying far more than anyone realizes.

  • You've become skilled at surviving and are wondering what it might feel like to truly live.

  • You long for relationships that feel secure, connected, and authentic.

I specialize in supporting BIPOC adults and couples healing from the lasting impact of childhood sexual abuse. Together, we'll honor your body, your relationships, your culture, and your own inner wisdom as essential parts of the healing process.

How We’ll Work Together

Therapy with me is a compassionate, collaborative partnership.

Together, we slow down and notice what thoughts, emotions, and sensations are most present.

I believe healing happens through safety, not force. We move at a pace that honors your capacity rather than pushing past it.

From there, we follow what feels most important. Many of our conversations explore relationships, personal history, current challenges, and your joy or aspirations.

Along the way, we...

  • become curious about symptoms and protective responses rather than fighting against them.

  • listen to the wisdom of your body, your emotions, your relationships, and, when meaningful to you, your spiritual life.

  • consider how identity, culture, family, systems, and community shape your lived experience.

  • gently move away from survival-based patterns and toward greater self-attunement, connection, and trust.

My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you no longer have to perform, protect, or carry everything alone; a place where more of who you already are has room to emerge.

 Ways We Can Work Together

Individual Therapy

A collaborative space to slow down, understand the ways you've learned to survive, and build a life that feels more fully your own.

Relationship / Couples Therapy

A space for partners to understand how trauma shapes connection, and explore the patterns that keep you stuck while strengthening trust and repair.

Group Therapy

Group offerings are coming soon.

What Becomes Possible

Healing doesn't mean life becomes perfect.

It doesn't erase grief or guarantee that struggle disappears.

But over time, something begins to shift.

You may find yourself...

  • noticing anxiety without being immediately swept away by it, creating more space to pause, choose, and respond.

  • honoring your body's natural rhythms and protecting your rest.

  • relating to yourself and the people you love with greater compassion.

  • moving through conflict with greater steadiness, trusting that connection can remain even when things feel hard.

  • naturally making more space for what truly matters to you.

My hope is not only that life becomes easier, but that it becomes richer, freer, and more fully yours.
